CS:GO for September 9, 2021

DraftKings slate locks at 10:00am ET

On Thursday, September 9, 2021, DraftKings is offering a 2 match CS:GO slate from the ESL Pro League Season 14 Playoffs with a lock at 10:00am ET. Here is my ‘Notes Sheet’ for this slate.

Match Breakdown & Building Lineups

I like Gambit (#2) to win today over Team Vitality (#9). ZywOo is a solid play as a 1-off in a 3/2/1 build. He will outperform his salary as a flex even in a loss. He is a risky captain play today. I prefer a GAM guy in the chair, hedging towards Hobbit, due to his recent form and his salary. It will be tough to get GAM big three of Ax1LE, sh1ro and Hobbit in the same build.

The OG (#10) vs Ninjas in Pyjamas (#8) should be a great match. OG has not played in this event is few weeks, so it is tough to gauge where they will be. I also expect their ownership to be high, with up to 70% or more ownership of mantuu and valde. For that reason, I am leaning towards NiP in my builds. device stands out from this roster and I will include him in a majority of my builds. I feel like the only way to take down a GPP today is to roster NiP over OG.

In both Cash contests (50/50s, Double Ups) and multi-entry GPP contests, I’m going to be building 3-3 lineups from GAM and NiP players. I will build a OG lineup too, just to have a piece of them. Finally, there is merit in a 3/2/1 build of 3 NiP/2 GAM/ZywOo.
