Group D moves to their 3rd day of group play in ESL Pro League Season 14. All teams have played multiple matches in this event, so as we look at this slate, I have included some additional event specific categories — Total maps played, Kill-Death Differential across all maps played, Kill to Death Ratio, and Team Rating — in the ‘Notes Sheet’ to try to get a little better insight into how each team is performing.
On Friday, September 3, 2021, DraftKings is offering a 3 match CS:GO slate with a lock at 7:30am ET. Here is my ‘Notes Sheet’ for this slate.
Building Lineups
Pricing on this slate seems pretty reasonable, with room to make 3/3 builds from 2 of the favorites for Cash contests (50/50s, Double Ups). I prefer GAM and TL. Both teams have players we can afford to captain and to stack. NiP is a huge favorite, but outside of device, I don’t trust many of their players, so I am not really looking to roster them in Cash builds.
When we look at multi-entry GPP contests, 3 GAM/3 TL seems to be in play. I also will have some 3/2/1 builds which lean most heavily on GAM, TL and NiP. I do like the idea of fading NiP in a few GPP lineups in favor of rostering malbsMd from T1. I don’t think T1 wins, but I do like malbsMd’s ($6.6) salary and ceiling as compared to NiP’s closest guy, LNZ ($6.2). Another consideration I am making is a FUR stack and a GAM fade on a single lineup in a multi-entry contest.
Player Pool
These are players I am considering in cash and GPP lineups, along with my preferred captain plays. When constructing lineups, make sure to follow one of the strategies laid out in the Building Lineups section above.
