Match Breakdown
On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, DraftKings is offering a 4 match CS:GO slate with a lock at 6:00am ET. All matches are BEST OF 1 MAP. Here is my ‘Notes Sheet’ for this slate.
Building Lineups
This slate is comprised of matches from Round 1 of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Challengers Stage. My leans are Entropiq (+105), Movistar Riders (-197), Heroic (-650) and MOUZ (-475).
Because these matches are all best of 1 map, I am not recommending Cash contests (50/50s, Double Ups). My rationale for this stems from the Bo1 format, which tends to lead to more upsets than a normal Bo3 match and also does not usually see 3 players from the same team score really well. It’s just tough to build a solid cash core on slates like these, so my advice is to avoid cash contests.
In GPP contests, you can get really loose with your roster construction. In Bo3 slates, I’m usually a fan of 3/3 or 3/2/1 builds made up of players from my leans. On a slate like this, I lean more towards an unconventional build, like a 2/2/1/1 or a 2/2/2 build. It really comes down to pricing. On this slate, it is nearly impossible to stack the top 2 HERO and/or MOUZ players. For this reason, I am tending to look to ENT, who I think has a chance to upset in a Bo1, and stack those players, which will save some salary. Additionally, I will not be afraid to play 1-offs from teams I think will lose. Anything can happen in normal CS:GO, but throw in a slate like this, and it can get even crazier. Go light and good luck!
Player Pool
These are players I am considering in cash and GPP lineups, along with my preferred captain plays. When constructing lineups, make sure to follow one of the strategies laid out in the Building Lineups section above.
